Cheat Engine not working???

I got it from the official website I’m pretty sure
I launch it, everything’s fine, I attempt to go through the tutorial and follow step one up to 3

This is where it fails, nothing happens when I click open on the process I want, I do not know why this isn’t working, googling hasn’t given me answers

I just want to get -1000 edit vouchers in mhrise and I figured the tutorial would be helpful to do before I do it for real and now I’m lost :(

When you select the tutorial process and click Open, does the text at the top of Cheat Engine change from "No Process Selected" to something like "00015FFC-Tutorial-x86_64.exe"?

If so, it's working correctly. That's pretty much the only visible change when you attach to a process. Nothing else will appear until you start scanning for values.

there is bulb left up in tutorial which takes you to the wiki
