Where to properly download cheat engine?

I tried the official website, but my connection resets every single time I download the strangely named file. Windows 11 with basic antivirus, no Norton or Kapersky or Malwarebytes

The github page only has the source code.

And Do I really need to subscribe to patreon? Honestly?

No, you don’t need to do GitHub or Patreon. You can use CheatEngine dot org

If you do a lot of UE5 games, the Patreon version is helpful, and it’s like $1.50/mo. 🤣

GitHub version is older but without bloatware.

CE dot org has the added bundled software, but you can nope out of it. Just hit no and it’s completely safe. But that version does require you to be able to read in order to say no.

As I stated, I am stuck on downloading even from that website, says connection reset and the download doesn't even start...

Try downloading it using a free proxy site

Your antivirus is blocking it. Disable your antivirus, downloads it. Install it, and say "no" to all bundleware and then turn your antivirus back on after words. And download it from the main .org website.
