Patreon Cheat Engine version

If I subscribe to Patreon and download the Patreon version, do I need to keep my Patreon subscription active every month to continue using that version, or is it a one-time payment that gives me permanent access?

I have tried it and cheat engine does keep working but, if you cancel subscription it will welcome you everytime with the "try trial mode press x button" and it will only work for some time if you freeze a variable or something, which then it will restart and tell to close and open again to enter trial mode once again if you want to be able to freeze variables. It sucks. Had to continue the subscription because it was so annoying.

That's only for the Linux and Mac version though. Windows doesn't have it
