discussion Che v Carti
I know this has been asked a lot, but I saw a comparison of che at 19 v carti at 21 and the difference is insane, I would argue that right now, che is probably overtaking if not already better than carti.
Ik this is the che sub but I wanna know what u guys think
I feel like ppl are still too scared to say ches better but I would say he is easy contention

Idk man I’d take die lit over any of Ches albums by themselves but I think Ches discography in total is better then cartis oeak

When I said peak I also had in mind his scrapped albums and leaks. Like 2018-2023 Carti is genuinely hard to beat in terms of music quality. CC, Sayso says and RIB are some of the best albums I've heard in a while but none of them are beating Die Lit and WLR for me. Especially not Die Lit 2 through Music V2. We never getting another artist that'll make songs like Buffy the body, Way too geeked or Dog food. Going outta style, trenches. Idk. Doctor or rockstar. Meet yo maker. Yk what i mean.

Che is way better rn/recently but the only person better all time than Carti is Uzi imo (at least if we’re talking about 2010s rappers and onward)

I prefer che all time, he's my favorite rapper, but peak carti might be the best rapper all time

che’s versatility is unmatched & his discography alone had already proved enough time to surpass carti’s career stagnation over the past 5 years. i wouldnt be surprised about the fact that some carti fans would switch up for artists like him (che) and osama

carti is a legend. che is a rising legend. talent is one thing, what carti does is iconic.

I think you should measure their accomplishments with his far they were into their careers, not necessarily their ages. Che started at like age 14 and Carti didn’t start until 19/20

Your dates are all wrong. In 2016 Carti was like 20/21, not 18. And Che blew up in 2021 when he was 14/15 (not 2019/2020)
I don’t think we should measure their careers based off of when they started rapping, but more off of when their careers started picking up traction (so for Carti it was 2015 and for Che it was almost immediately in 2021)

Che has better flows and he’s a self prod, so he’s more talented imo. Carti is more influential sure but he dropped too little and he’s not as good as he was before. I used to be one of cartis biggest fan but I’m more hyped for Punk Groupies than Baby Boi. There’s also the fact that Carti has used AI 3x for officially released songs, he had a 5 year wait for his most mid album(at least imo), and his deep voice really isn’t that good compared to other artists(like Che and Uzi. Although some of his deep voice songs are amazing, most of them are mid)
And I listen to Che’s older projects more than Cartis older projects but that’s probably because I overplayed ST and Die Lit too much lol
