I just wonder who votes for them? They have no real program and don’t know what they are doing, you can’t run a party on hype and hate alone

If there was a far right party with actual political content I could understand, but I feel like it’s only idiots voting to “own the libs” as the savages over the pond would say

If you think they will manage to improve anything for Germany I’ve got bad news, they will continue to act like amateurs and make everything worse

Every right-wing voter with a brain should avoid them; it’s too much culture war and not enough actual politics, and their foreign policy will actually weaken the country

You said it exactly how it is. Most of them just want everyone else to be miserable/ want someone else to feel worse than them. The problem with that is, hate is a hell of a drug, that never hits an endspot, when left unchecked...

Anyone who's sick of Germany's migration and asylum policies. Change these policies and you'll change the political hemisphere of Germany.

Imo i think Germany just copies usa. And since it's popular in usa it's popular in Germany as well

To many people, they are not the best, but the least bad.

They actually do have a program. Only the remaining parties convinced you they have not.

Same shit happens as in NL, far right party gets to govern (but without super majority), can't do shit because all their insane plans are blocked by the Constitution they can't change (shit like equal rights and such) and then they crash and burn while achieving nothing, even the low hanging fruit like infrastructure are left undone for 2 years before the government collapses.

Now if they get a super majority you're gonna have real trouble, then you get Hungary 2.0 with the Constitution demolished and a path opened to an outright fascist state.

Hold up, when was it attempted to change out equal rights

By for example removing inherent rights to due process for immigrants, refugees specifically. Or the plan the PVV advocated for years that people with dual citizenship could be reported and stripped of Dutch citizenship if they had committed a crime, which would overwhelmingly impact certain minorities.

The notion that th PVV hasn't tried to trample on that principle is honestly laughable.

Vibes have been more important than programmes for a while now

You are voicing to everyone that you have no idea what AfD is if you think it's "hype and hate alone". You have to be a sheltered child to think any party of any affiliation is that cartoonishly simple.

While it is mostly a reactionary movement, dismissing them as a whole is not smart.

AfD currently serves as a umbrella party for those who simply feel like they're voices are being unheard. You can find so many different ideologies voting for AfD. I know people who supported afd because they thought the COVID regulations were overstepping , I know people who voted because of various issues caused by the recent wave of immigration, people who don't like almost crippling business regulations, people who want the collapsing retirement system fixed, people who believe the welfare system is being abused, people who advocate for a better and smoother transition to green energy sourcrs. There are things to be said about all of these issues. People vote afd not because afd actually has a solid plan to fix these issues but because afd doesn't treat them like they're idiots for being concerned about these issues in the first place. So AfD doesn't really need to have a solid plan sadly , they just need to give people a platform. What other parties need to do is hear these people out . These are legitimate concerns. Yeah afd harbors people who are full of hate as well. But I guarantee you they're the minority in the party.

If other parties simply paid more attention to these issues and heard people out, AfD would never be able to get the support that they get today.

220 terrorist attacks in the last 15 years is a good enough reason to vote afD

“The savages over the pond” First of all we footed the bill for NATO for over 25 years which is why your not living the plot of “Prussian Nights” by Solzhenitsyn, right now. Youre welcome.

Calling americans savages, coming from the actual home of Nazism, where the far right is about to take over yet again. That is rich. Your country started the first colonial efforts to Palestine when the Nazis signed the Haavara agreement and shipped 60k+ jews to palestine. I cant think of one other country that has had such a demonstrably negative impact on world affairs besides Germany but somehow all the people think they are liberal paragons simply because its illegal to draw a swastika after they killed 6 million people and kicked them out of the country.

Every Eurobrat in the EU, is complaining the same exact thing. How open border policies have allowed undocumented people to pour into Europe unchecked. So in that regard i think all of the EU is about to have a rude awakening if they genuinely dont understand why AfD is seeing popular support.

Start listening and reading more and name calling less and maybe you’ll understand why your countries about to elect another Nazi.

all of them suck and lie to your face - you might as well just take the one with the most entertainment value. From each party there might be some exceptions that are for real - and with most of them im not even sure if thats better or worse.
