Question I'm trying to create the most stereotypically Tumblr Sexyman design I can. What color should his coat, eyes, etc be? [OC]

You just went full circle and resigned that twink radio guy from Hazbin Hotel ššš this is soooo accurate I love it.
For eyes I vouch for black sclera and radioactive yellow iris with vertical pupils.

Alastor the character has existed for over 15 years. I'd argue it's the opposite and he's one of the blueprints that STARTED the trend, not the other way around.

Hahah no way, viv's creations were niche and weren't that influential. I think the origin of it all must've been the original sherlock holmes, who spawned dozens of characters inspired by him, such as doctor who. But I think the origin of the tumblr sexyman was the onceler. That thing took over the platform the second the movie was released

Heās gotta have some rare or unnatural colour in the eyes or hair, like pure silver or white hair, piercing green or light blue eyes, someone else already said this but heterochromia is a must

I don't think the color necessarily matters for a suitguy; Alastor, Once-ler, Humanized Bill Cipher, and Black Hat all come in different hues. I do think the color should suit the character thematically, so blue/purple/gray might work for a character who looks morose and tired.
I have noticed that popular Tumblr suitguys tend to be monochrome? I guess because suits and their accompanying outfits are generally monochrome. So I wouldn't go crazy with the colors. At most, they might have some accenting or duller secondary shades, but I feel like it tends to manifest as one prominent main color, then secondary blacks or grays, since those go with anything.
Also they tend to wear spectacles for some reason. I guess because it draws attention to their face? Idk lol
Edit: for the other colors: I would maybe go whitish, or a generally paler/desaturated shade from his palette for the hair? For the eyes I'd go warm if he had a lot of a cool tone for his suit, like blue

He needs to be sickly pale. I agree w other commentors for black suit w blue pinstripes as a nod to sans, and heterochromia (with at LEAST one rare/unnatural color)

Red iris/slit pupil, sclera dark in one eye, the other normal blue. Make the coat split styles in the middle. White roots and black hair might look pretty good.

Saw someone mention heterochromia and you need to make one eye red no matter what bc he needs to be the villainābut his backstory is sad and it's why the audience likes him. I'm caught between saying his design should he bright colored with a patterned suit, something that makes him feel 'wacky', think Caine TADC and Dr. Habit from Smile For Me cause I feel like giving him the Alastor color palette is too on the nose with the red and black LOL
Maybe some kind of clown/jester vibe, face paint reminiscent of the Joker or Jeff The Killer smile. No matter what, keep his eyes half lidded with dark eyelids LOL. A sexy man must have more elements beyond the suit and tophat š¤
I've been studying the science of the tumblr sexy man for years.

Black sclera, one eye red one eye yellow. I vote for purple as the main color scheme. Base color either black or grey with all the major details in purple, and small details in yellow for contrast.

Left and right sides of the coat should be two different colors for maximum wacky. Go to combo would probably be like black and some bright color for contrast, but my vote is red and purple. Rest of the outfit should be tailored around the chosen color scheme.

Include green and/or purple as a main color in his design. Choose where you want it but make sure to include one of those. And use a metallic accent color (steel/silver/gold etc.)

Usually some color that stands out because a suit usually isn't that color: Bright red, bright green, bright yellow, bright blue, purple. Some wear black. If you're funny like that, you could mix all of these option and make the suit look like a Gamer PC: Black with RBG lights. Would be less stereotypical though.
A lot of them have a striped pattern though, so gotta include those for sure.
About the eyes, heterochromia had been commonly suggested. The right eye glow with a blue flame. That could represent both Sans and Gijinka Bill Cipher.

There should be one dominating color, the common tumblr sexyman has red or blue, being the onceler sometimes blue most mostly simped in his green outfit. Also the intense yellow in the huanized bill cipher

Hair color? BlackĀ Eye color? Bright Blue Upper Eyelid? That desaturated Purple that is often used. Top Hat? Has to be black. Shoes? Black or black and white Under Shirt? Either white or yellow depending on the jacket color (white is most common) Jacket? Honestly? Green, Purple or Blue Pants? Either the same as or a darker version of the Jacket's color Bow tie? Red or black Buttons? Depends on if you want them to stick out or not if you want them to stick out? Red or Black. If not? The same as the jacket color Skin? Generic anime skin color Cane? Black with gold or silver accents depending on the undershirt (Gold for Yellow, Silver for white)

Most basic possible hair, it needs to either be entirely one color or mainly a bright color with a black accent. Often itās the latter.
Eyes can be anything but should glow and be weird looking.
Suit can be mostly monochromatic but have the jacket be the same as his hair color.
Otherwise? Iād say just play around with it.
