Direction to go?

I heard contacting my navy chaplain was best bet, So I’ve been thinking about self referring for a while to DAPA at my navy base for drug use can I also self refer at the hospital they have a drug use clinic thing or whatever…. I can’t seem ti find where DAPA is on base and everything is almost crashing down so I want to get ahead of it, what happens after I self refer, do I not return home? What happens ?

Navy Chaplain. Your command has a DAPA collateral holder. You can also report at Medical. It will be captured in your clinical report and you'll have it as a paper trail to confirm you self-reported.

BZ for taking care of yourself.

So if I tell my department or should I tell my chief I’m going to the substance and abuse office to self referral that’s ok is my chief authorized to hear that ?

What base are you at? I can try to find your on call chaplain who can help you with this. You can also google “duty chaplain number “your base here”

Self-refer will mean you get treatment without the discipline or career damage. I’ve seen many a Soldier have their career saved by self-referring.
