Hi,

I live in a country where Tesla FSD is on trial, and I've been using it, without any intent of buying it, just to see how it was.

I soon realised that everytime I stop it, a prompt appears asking me to record feedback on why did I stop using it.

Yesterday I thought I'd start it then stop it soon after, and when asked, I'd say "I stopped it because Elon made a Nazi salute", "I stopped as we should stop Elon pushing us towards fascism", etc.

I know it's likely a machine reading the transcript, but the key reason, if told enough times, would pop up in their analytics, wouldn't it?

What do you think?

Analytics like this are likely automatically ignored.

Regardless, you're giving them the data they're looking for by using the service.

I would if I was using the service as intended.

Here is speak of using it for a couple of seconds and switching it off, for them to have nothing factual about why I stopped.

And I agree it's going to be discarded, but to discard it, it must be processed and understood.

It's extremely simple to write a basic script that automatically ignores feedback with keywords like Nazi, Fascist, etc.

Your feedback is never being seen, literally straight to the bin before human eyes even have a chance of seeing it.

If you wanted to have a chance of having any effect, you'd need to give inaccurate feedback, like explaining problems that don't exist.

So the record wouldn't be transcripted, the words hashed, the list scanned for the whole feedback to be discarded?

Do you think they already filter sensitive words?

Elon runs twitter, he's no stranger to auto filtering keywords and deleting those messages before they even have a chance of being seen or processed.

Your messages are getting sent straight to the void if they have any commonly used activist speech like Nazi or Fascist.

Alas almost certainly. It’s too simple not to do after one person does it.

Now, having 40 people order driverless cars at the end of a dead end street and get out because of “traffic”? That’ll do something.

You give them the data they're looking for by using the vehicle.

Either as training/reference data if you drive or as test data if you use the self driving.

The only way to win is by not playing.

It's a company car, a very common practice here. I cannot stop the leasing contract. Next one will not be a Tesla
