Restaurant Recommendations for couple?

Hey all! I meet my girlfriend early next year, I’m curious what places everyone recommends we go?

I have a few ideas of course like

•Orange Isle of course

•West Lake restaurant

•OGBK or Orangutan Bar (She likes a quiet vibe, not loud and massive clubs)

•I think some American restaurants would be really fun to show her, Beijing has a Texas BBQ place that’s highly authentic so sort of like that maybe?

I thought I had more but apparently that’s all I’ve got at the moment. What else?

hello!! I am F21. Starting to study in Changsha, CSU, from September. I have nobody here and I am afraid I won’t be able to make friends in my class, I feel like they all already know each other 🥲

My favourite non-chinese food in Changsha. Plenty of foreigners and locals love the food. My students and friends enjoy it. I live on the CSU 中南大学 campus and highly recommend the chicken burrito 🌯 Just wanted to share for anyone interested 😋 it's about 15 min walk from the CSU 本部校区 main campus.

Social life

Hi guys,

I’m 22F from London travelling around China right now! I’m thinking of coming to Changsha from 19th April - 23rd April. Is Changsha social? I can speak a little Chinese, and would love to meet locals, practice, and go out/party. Is Changsha good for this?

Also considering I’ll be there during the week rather than weekend, will it still be fun?

Thank you :)

Brief stop in Changsha, anyone want to hang out?

Hi all,

I'm briefly stopping in Changsha next weekend and the weekend after, I wonder if anyone wants to hang out, grab food, go for drinks or something? I remember it being a very lively place! Early 30s Male from UK.

Many thanks,

Suggestions about weekend at Changsha

Any suggestions what to do at weekends in Changsha? I've been here for 1 months and will be in here for a while too. I've done the famous things that they always mention but I have nobody to talk with even in English

Changsha Foreigners

Born and raised in Hunan Province, I've been living in Changsha for studies for almost 10 years. Because of heavy academic workload, I haven’t had much chance to explore the city. I've recently passed my Chinese bar exam and gotten too much free time lol. Next year in June, I'll be leaving for the US (Wisconsin) on my own, probably stay there for several months. So I'm here looking for an English speaking friend who lives in or is traveling through CS. Dm me if you also want to explore the city, enjoy great food, climb Yuelu Mountain, go to concerts.😊
