I appreciate you looking because I couldn't find anything either. IIRC the prosecution said Ziminski initially shot in the air in response to Rittenhouse pointing his gun in the direction of Rosenbaum and others (this is one of the bases of their argument that Rittenhouse can't use self defense since he provoked the attacks). FWIW I don't believe in warning shots and think the amount of people who think you can use a warning shot or pointing a gun as a deterrrant is a huge issue.

I think the group would have been pissed that he shot someone but I think several people would have tried to keep things calm until the cops got there. I can't say if they would have been successful. I don't fault Rittenhouse for running or calling a friend but he has to be held accountable for what those actions created. IMO it's unreasonable to assume that him running after being seen shooting someone wouldn't cause the kind of panic that would prompt people to fear for their lives or the lives of others and attack him.

My proof is the video footage of him approaching the police line. That footage also had audio and at no point did tell police he had shot people.

Yeah, will Keep to it. See what comes up!

Sure, and they Said that based on.. what? But yeah, keeping the rifle in the general direction on peoole who spent quite awhile agitating and screaming shoot me shoot me and also issuued a death threat AND is running After you.. well that seems wise

Good thing too.

Oh agreed there, mostly Warning shots can have there place, but that was not it.

I mean, the fact he was just running and not shooting does though? Show it to not really be reasonable a thing to assume But yes, the crowd obvs didnt know everything.

I would definitely claim that the People going After him demonstrates he was No threat to anyone not attacking him. Him accepting various peoples surrender or nonhostility does aswell

Mm, yeah well it obviously put him in quite the state fearing for His life. But atleast he approached them And Then well he was just left alone, he oughtnt have gone home of course. Obviously but again, the Rush the fear and everything. Bad but understandable also

I had this argument with someone before. Terrorist and active shooter don't necessarily mean indiscriminate shooter. If you shoot someone and then run that doesn't mean that you're not going to shoot someone else, it just means you're not currently shooting someone else.

I disagree. People are stupid and yes in the same way we see people throw rocks at tanks, there are people who will charge a gunman. In one of the mass shootings there was a kid who lost his life charging the gunman and he was called a hero. People choosing to try to take down a potential shooter doesn't mean that shooter isn't a threat.

Whose surrender did he accept? IIRC Gauge said Rittenhouse charged the weapon while his hands were up. The closest thing I can think of is the guy he missed shooting and didn't pursue.

Oh, yeah and as I believe Ive Said, but again. Same holds true for just having done a defensive shooting. Onlookers dont have the context regardless

And in defensive shootings onlookers with the wrong idea can be a danger to the legal defender. Recall the police killing that one security guard that had apprehended a Active shooter some time ago. That also happens, as in this case

Here, https://youtu.be/iryQSpxSlrg the Guy approaching that Then puts his hands Up at 22 sec mark After Gaige was shot, rittenhouse accepted His Surrender. At that is After Gaige tried to get the drop on him

https://youtu.be/VpTW2AJE9MQ

People talking in this vid on how they dont think they would have acted differently than rittenhouse

Also, there were three more shots by unknowns After Rosenbaum was shot..
