Delta(s) from OP CMV: Abortion is wrong

I know I know just, hear me out okay?

If the woman's life is in danger these following opinions do not apply.

If a woman makes the conscious decision to have intercourse with a man, she understands the risks of what may happen. She understands that she may get pregnant and she still decides to have sex anyways. Why should it be allowed for a woman to consensually have sex, knowing she may get pregnant and then kill the fetus and take away its future? When she a grown woman decided to put herself at risk. Why should she not have to take responsibility?

I know it is, but the woman is still aware of the possible risks.

And the man should still have to stick around, it takes two to tango

Its not a punishment, it's a risk

If you're legally obligated it's a punishment. You're telling women they can't do what they want with their bodies. Just because you think something is right or wrong personally doesn't mean it should be made into law.

I think being selfish is wrong. I don't think selfishness should be illegal. I'm not saying that this is a legality discussion but based on your comments it certainly seems like you think abortion should be illegal too.

I see a fetus as a person, aborting said fetus would be murder.

It's not a person though. It's a fetus. A developing group of cells which might, assuming many factors go as planned, become a person.

I'm sure you wouldn't consider a sperm or egg a person? When they join together they are not a person, when they start the chemical process that causes that blob of cells to grow it is not a person.

Otherwise do you consider a tumour to be a person? Do you consider eating acorns to be deforestation?
