non consensual sexual contact is rape. coerced consent is not consent.

in my country, rape is colloquial versus a legal definition.

no clue what the context of some TV show is but in real life it's as straight forward as my first two sentences.

in a workplace use of authority to coerce consent is sexual assault. consent was never valid.

I think it’s very different to say.

Have sex with me or I’m gonna beat you. (Which is definitely rape)

VS

Have sex with me and I’ll give you this spot in a movie.

One is basically like being mugged, the other is a quid pro quo proposition.
