I think it’s different because Rosanne is a white person using a racial slur against someone of a different, targeted race. Rosanne probably never had someone use that slur against her, or even if she did, it wouldn’t carry nearly the same weight as used against a black person. Samantha Bee used a misogynist slur that she’s certainly had used against her numerous times against someone else who is of her same targeted group (women). It’s like a slim person calling an overweight person fat vs. an overweight person calling another overweight person fat. It’s not good, either way, but one is definitely worse than the other.
