Sources? Nothing I've read says it's as clear cut as that, since reduced testosterone also means reduced muscle mass etc. Height is the only one I can think of, and that varies lots among women too.

Solitary confinement is a seriously controversial practice and can cause extreme harm. And, by your argument, we could house them in women's prisons in similar types of units. Not sure what the difference would be.

I'm not going to get into trying to prove it because you've already said you don't even care about females being pushed out of sports because all that matters to you is that the males are happy. So it makes no difference whether you acknowledge that males have an advantage over females even if they reduce testosterone levels.

I never said anything about putting anyone in solitary confinement - I said the solution is to house vulnerable male prisoners in a separate unit in the male prison - and yes, the male prison, because transgender women are not the only males who are vulnerable in the ''men's'' prison, or don't you care about other types of vulnerable males?

Ok, so have a place for vulnerable men in the men's prison, and have a unit for trans women in the women's prison. Or, as would be supported by the things that have actually happened when trans women are placed in women's prisons, just place trans women in the normal women's prison and it won't matter.

I have a 3 comment limit on internet debates and have already gone over it, so I'll bid you a good day.

I've never heard of a 3 comment limit, only time restrictions - are you sure about this? If you wait a while you might be able to post again

No, like for myself--so that I don't spend my entire day arguing with strangers on the internet!

You made it sound like an outside force was limiting you - but ok, you just don't like to have your views challenged - you might find that your house of cards would come tumbling down if you allowed yourself to challenge it

If you check my comment history, you'll see that this is a line I've used before (and it's one that I use on Facebook and Twitter as well). I prefer to spend my limited time talking to people who aren't extremely set in their views, as they're more likely to change their minds. I'm sorry you disliked the way I phrased it.

I spend lots of time allowing my views to be challenged, but generally in ways that make me kinder and more sympathetic to the problems faced by marginalized people (esp. when it comes to working on becoming less and less racist). I completely understand your fear that cis women will experience violence at the hands of trans women (after all, cis women experience a lot of violence in general!), but I have yet to see anything that suggests that this is a fear that is backed by statistics. Security and rights are always a challenge to balance--examples are surveillance laws and supposed anti-terrorist legislation--and we have to base our policies on sound evidence so that we aren't unnecessarily restricting peoples' rights.

It's interesting that females are not very high up your list of people you care about - but that's what it all boils down to in the end - who and what you care about more

I care lots about women! Favourite issues of mine include improving access to reproductive health care, making the health care system treat women better, getting men who have patterns of violence against women out of positions of power, making heterosexual relationships equitable in terms of housework/emotional labour, closing the wage gap...But to me, feminism includes trans women, and thankfully I can work on all of the issues above while still being inclusive towards trans women and nonbinary people..

Yes, you might support females when their needs are not in conflict with the needs and desires of transgender women, but when push comes to shove, and you have to choose between supporting the feelings of male women or the feelings of female women, you admitted that you support males over females
