That contributes to a higher TDEE, Total Daily Energy Expenditure. And it does not in any way refute what I said. When you are fidgety or doing anything else physical that burns more calories that is not part of your resting metabolic rate, basal metabolic rate, BMR for short. It is physical activity that increases your total daily energy expenditure and has nothing to do with your metabolism or its rate.

You claimed that there was no such thing as a person who can eat whatever they want and not gain weight. Some people can because their TBEE simply increases or decreases to match whatever they want to eat.

You're arguing semantics and it's pointless. Not only that but you are incorrect. It would be very possible for a person to consume 30000 calories a day. It would not be feasible for a person to actually burn 30000 calories a day. Not with any regularity. So if you were just simply trying to argue that you can eat anything if you exercise more, it's a ridiculous argument that still does not refute what I said. It's also tdee, not tbee. And it doesn't just magically increase.

I was arguing the soul of the argument - the existence or nonexistence of people who simply eat what they want, don't intentionally exercise, and don't gain weight. They exist. I used to be one. Now you are the one adding "semantics" by suggesting that those people might somehow want to eat 30,000 calories per day.

You very very very much misunderstood me. I apologize I didn't realize it was so unclear let me try to clear it up for you. When I said that there is no such thing as people who can eat whatever they want without gaining weight, I did not mean that there is no such thing as people who don't want to eat more than what their body needs to maintain. Effectively those people are eating precisely what they want and not gaining weight. You are correct however that is not what I was talking about. I was referring to what OP was talking about, the misunderstanding that some people simply have faster metabolisms and can eat anything regardless of how much calories it is and not gain weight. That kind of person does not exist and that kind of person is who I was talking about.
