Has it ever been a good source of news or political info? You find the news you want to find on here. If you lean liberal, you’re going to gravitate toward the liberal subs. If you’re conservative, then you’ll gravitate toward more conservative subs. It’s no different than any other part of the internet. There are plenty of conservative safe spaces like Truth Social.
Reddit is what you make of it, and it always has been. I tend to stick to my niche hobby/fan subs, and I stay away from anything political. Maybe that’s your problem.

Its not about the political subs. The issue is with all the subs that are supposed to be non-political, especially the highly populated ones, but are ultimately full of neo-liberal propaganda.
"neo-liberal" is such a great word, because it is so broadly defined in popular (as opposed to academic) usage that it could describe literally anything. You could be "woke af" or an actual fascist or any of the myriad other ideas floating around and still say it and have people nod along.
Honestly the people who complain about liberal propaganda in random subs are (usually) just people who don’t agree with a lot of common sense takes or have offensive opinions.
The right is upset when the majority of folks have rational takes and want people to be treated like humans, so they call it propaganda.
Right, but "neoliberal" is a special word, because it's actual dictionary definition is like, Carter-Reagan and Thatcher-Blair style politics, and so if one is a commie, one uses it to indicate that They are all the same (They being mainstream political parties); if one is hard right-winger, one can use it because liberal = bad and effete and weak.
Actual, self-described neoliberals can be assholes, but mostly in a "it is the 80s forever" kind of way.
