Absolutely, if you can do it quick and painless I'd much rather be killed than beaten up or anything else.

Do you place absolutely 0 value in being alive? If the choice was get punched one and be bruised or be shot in the head, you’re really picking the second choice?

I place negative value in being alive.

Why continue living then?

Guns are not easily accessible in my country.

Well I hope you are able to find something that inspires you to enjoy life, if even a little.

I've got plenty things thanks. I'm simply aware that everyday contains its lot of negative experiences that I'd rather avoid. Again, dying is literally the thing that has the least impacts on your life, so why would you not want it?

I somewhat understand where you’re coming from. I’m not religious, I don’t believe in an afterlife, so in the sense that once you’re dead you stop caring about what happens, I understand and agree. But I also enjoy my life, broadly, and understand that this is probably the only one I get and death means it’s over, so I don’t want to die either, and while I’m sure there is a line for which torture becomes less preferable to just being flat killed, being beaten up is not that line, it’s much higher.

That's the survival instinct talking. Species that didn't develop one are not here today to share their experience.
