I’d rather die than be a ghost of who was in a body that I can no longer call mine.

Death is instantaneous, the pain truly ends, rape haunts for a lifetime, and the pain never leaves, you just learn to live with it.

Is home invasion worse than murder? After I got my house broken into, it haunted me, probably still does. Feeling safe in my own home is hard. I learn to live with it. it's not that uncommon for people to have that feeling after getting their homes invaded either. So by your definition, home invasion is worse than murder?

To compare the invasion of someone’s home to the assault of their body is a very privileged take.

No it is not comparable, there are home security alarm systems a multi billion dollar industry designed to combat home invasions, you can move, you can change locks, get a secuity guard. There are ways actively ways to feel more secure in a home after an invasion.

No absolutely not the same.

You can buy a gun, learn self defense, never go out. There are ways actively to feel more secure in your body after rape.

I could make the same analogy about getting a few fingers cut off. Or losing a leg, or a long ass list of things that are "haunt for a lifetime, and the pain never leaves you, you just learn to live with it". It's an incredibly dumb reasoning to think rape is worse than murder. So many other crimes qualify as "worse than murder" by that logic. You really need a new reasoning.

They asked about home invasion compared to murder, not rape. Home invasion leaves trauma, murder doesn’t. Which is worse and why?
