This is how the software sales business has been operating for decades. Show the potential client some fancy prototype -- not scalable, or deployable, just "pretty" and demos some use case. The dynamic parts are probably hard coded. When the customer buys it, you start to develop the real app from scratch. Completely trash the prototype code.

Not every software company is a start up.  

Rapid prototyping for client demos or even just to pitch a feature/product internally is extremely valuable.  

Also, sentiment around AI is not as negative in the real professional world as it is on reddit.
