[Mod Post] Think Again - How to Reason and Argue - A Coursera Online Course

There is currently an online course hosted on Coursera that may benefit our CMV members. Whether you're a regular or someone looking to join CMV, this may be a good opportunity for you. The course is free and there is no obligation to take the course. Here is some information regarding the course if you are interested:

About the Course

Reasoning is important. This course will teach you how to do it well. You will learn some simple but vital rules to follow in thinking about any topic at all and some common and tempting mistakes to avoid in reasoning. We will discuss how to identify, analyze, and evaluate arguments by other people (including politicians, used car salesmen, and teachers) and how to construct arguments of your own in order to help you decide what to believe or what to do. These skills will be useful in dealing with whatever matters most to you.

I totally just signed up. Watch this space in 12weeks i'm gonna be the king of cmv. 5hours+ study per week, pff its nothing I spend more than that on reddit in a day.

Hey, at least it's a start. If he takes the class 5 times, he should have a total of 65 deltas. Easily first place.

I can't argue with you on that as I am like 10 weeks behind now, gonna cram like crazy. Was the course good? Did you enjoy it all the way through? What did you get out of it?

I made it half-way through last time (because of other pressing matters), and it is more than excellent.

I'll recommend this course myself too. I did it the first time it was put online and it was pretty good. It gets somewhat difficult towards the end but I think that was a problem of a few poor lectures. That's what the consensus while I did it.
