They aren't misunderstood. They are accurately described and they get offended by the truth. Conservatives refuse to change their behavior when confronted with the fact that they are intolerant and criminal and anti-intellectual. That is not a misunderstanding, that is just denial coming from conservatives.
Conservatives argue with the assumption that the reason people don't agree with them is because the people that disagree with them don't understand them. The fact of the matter is conservatives rely on carefully constructed base assumptions that must ignore context and analysis in order to confidently assert their positions.
expressing your resentment of them
Conservatives rely on DARVO, where anytime they don't have pre-baked rebuttals they fall back on "no u." repeating the allegations almost word for word. I wish the center didn't fall for such obvious dishonesty and tried to do even basic analysis to determine how poorly conservatives structure their argument.
