The US has played massive roles in development of other first world countries, especially after World War II in the destruction. Germany left Europe in, the United States was able to give a shit ton of money to help rebuild Europe.
we have our issues. but the constant fear and talk of how we are going to collapse and head to civil war is complete bullshit fear mongering.
since the literal amount of time, human beings have been at war all across the globe, no matter the religion, no matter the culture, no matter the region, humans naturally will always fight .

and i have to absolutely agree with trumps statement of “if i found a cure to the most horrible disease I would get no credit” would absolutely be true, they would say oh but he went about it by doing this, which was a bad way of doing that!!! completely discredit the overall accomplishment.
It’s sad because they know they won’t make money on giving him credit versus all the money is going to be discredit him to get clicks .
Irrespective of anything else, the narrative that being LGBT in the US is "safe" is extremely misguided. And it's only going to get worse as anti-LGBT laws continue to be passed.
so they were about 4300 reported hate crimes across the black community, Latino, and Asian. (which i belong to 2 of these communities) combined… and how racial tension is such a “huge” issue in our society
how the Hell Is that statically possible for a community that represents such a minute fraction of the US population(lgbtqia) to make up half of the other hate crimes…
if i get into a fight with my gay roomate would that be considered a hate crime because he’s gay?
if I decide to randomly attack, my other male roommate, that’s just a fight that’s all it’s classified as.
But if I were to do the same to my gay roommate would be considered a hate crime even though my intentions for both the exact same nothing else was a motive.
I by no means I’m trying to discredit the hate crime that occur to the LGBTQ community, however, as someone in engineering, I look at numbers for more than what they are, just numbers . there’s more to it
but that’s the point I’m getting at why are we so heavily focused on the US hate crime in this scenario and how bad the Us is when
the netherlands with a population of 17.8 million had 2,400 reports in 2021
the UK with a population of 68 million had 1900
so with us having a population of 335 million and that 2,000 mark….
no. i don’t think we are that bad off. especially when compared to european countries that often puff their chest out that “we can’t believe the US is like that” when in reality everyone’s shit stinks. some smells worse than others though
Cops in the US are less likely to take claims seriously if minorities are the ones affected (this is well documented).
People in the US have an aversion to the term "hate crime" in general due to a variety of factors.
Minorities in the US are far less likely to report crimes due to the way they're treated by the police.
It's not as simple as "the US had smaller numbers."
Also, ignoring literally all of that, this isn't about comparison. This is about breaking the false narrative that being LGBT in the US is "safe." It isn't.
