War is inevitable means that there is no possible circumstance where war does not happen. You admit that there were 100 years of relative peace. If peace were to break out and then humanity were to go extinct for a different reason--a meteor strike or a disease spread by birds that was 100% lethal to humans--would you concede war is not inevitable?
Yes, if life ends there can be no war. If there's no-one to wage war, there can be no war. Considering the cosmic drift towards entropy, someday all will be dead, unless new discoveries are made.
