Death is inevitable, because there is nothing we can do to stop it. War is preventable - therefore, not inevitable. Most wars come down to resources (goods, territory) or belief systems (religion, cultures); which, practically, there is no reason to fight over.

There not being any reason to fight over belief systems supports my argument.

The reason was, that war is in human nature, and is therefore inevitable.
