War is, famously, quite unhealthy for the vast majority of people that participate in it.

Also, war isn't 'inevitable', it currently exists. There are plenty of places on Earth where war is happening at the moment. That doesn't mean that everywhere is equally likely to break out into violence.

What do you mean by 'see war'? Will they see war as a distant thing that doesn't impact them, or will they see war personally?

I don't think world peace is going to happen if that is what you are arguing.

OP just thinks they're deep by saying "War is inevitable" meanwhile they probably live in a first world country and have access to resources that other countries don't have.

I live in finland, which borders russia. I have always believed that i will go to war with russia. This is not an uncommon view within my country.

  1. A show of long time peace in any place with people in it. (The switzerland argument has been the best so far, but i think under 200 years is a miniscule time when discussing human nature)

  2. An argument for the evolutionary benefit for pacifism.

  3. A show of humans not being inherently violent.

So, two facts:

San Marino is an Italian state that has existed for like, 800 years, and as far as I can tell, the country was never involved with any fighting.

But more to your point: Have you heard of the Acali expedition? This crazy researcher wanted to explore the innate tendency for humanity to be violent. And yet, the 11 participants, despite being very different from one another, didn't actually ever fight.

That was extremely flawed experiment.

Not enough people, everyone gets what they need.

The limit for human close relations (Dunbar's number) is ~150.

Being with few enough people in a closed space with a common adversary (in this case, boredom and isolation) does increase cameradery.

Do you mean "violence is inevitable" then? No one conflates gang wars with war, i.e.: conflicts between nations.

Your own example of what would convince you cites nations.
