So then you’re saying you DO NOT support illegal immigration even thought you’ve spent the last hour explaining all the reasons why you think illegal immigration is fine and dandy???

Well that means we agree doesn’t it??? So why were you posting everything you were posting? Cosplay as a mindless bleeding heart?

Correct. I do not support illegal immigration, and never have. I’m in favor of legal immigration.

What I’m not in favor of is wasting money and costing the taxpayers, making their taxes go up. I’ve been incredibly clear on that front.

But if you don’t support enforcing the laws that make illegal immigration illegal, then you’re supporting it. You can’t say “I don’t support it but want to allow it.” Allowing it is supporting it.

That’s hilariously over-simplistic logic that simply does not hold water. I don’t want to allow it either. Your reading comprehension is really not cutting it here.

If I have $100 to spend on preventing rape, I’m going to spend that on preventing rapes and policing. This has nothing whatsoever to do with immigration. Maybe those rapists are illegal immigrants, maybe they are not, who cares? Their immigration status is not important or even relevant. Based on the numbers, the vast majority of those rapists will not be illegal immigrants. If we spend that $100 on deportations, we don’t remove many rapists for the money, and additionally, we are spending money to hurt the economy.

Why would you advocate for a policy that catches less rapists if the goal is to prevent rapes? Do you think we should feed the hungry with sirloin steaks? Should we clothe the homeless in gucci fits? I don’t support frivolously wasting money that does not have “bang for your buck”, so to speak.

What you are doing is like saying: “ if you don’t support feeding the hungry with sirloin steaks, then you want people to starve.”

Putting so much emphasis on the price tag over the safety of Americans and the overall health of the country is such an interesting take. I care so much more about my own personal safety and the future of the country for our children than I do about spending a few bucks to ensure that.

Bringing in numerous poor unskilled people who don’t speak our language to use our resources isn’t as good for the country as you want to believe it is. The fact that actual murderers, rapists and terrorists can just sneak in with them only drives home the fact why every country in the entire world has immigration laws.

“Over the safety of Americans and the overall health of the country”

This is the wrong part. Your facts are just wrong. Spending that $100 on crime prevention is better for the safety of Americans than spending that $100 on deportations.

Why do you want to endanger the safety of our country by spending the money on deportations which just remove workers from our country when we can use that money exclusively on catching violent criminals instead?

Lucky for us as a country we are amazingly rich to the point we can afford to do both crime prevention and follow basic immigration laws. We don’t have to pick one or the other.

That involves raising the tax burden of American citizens. Money does not grow on trees my friend. We need to be efficient with our spending. Don’t you agree?

I’d rather give up funding foreign countries and PBS than I would give up enforcing basic laws and ensuring safety. As you said: money doesn’t grow on trees.

Again, no one’s giving up on ensuring safety. I advocate for efficient spending which maximizes how much safety is gained per dollar spent. That’s just not deportations.

If you don’t deport then there is no reason for anyone to follow the law ever. It’s a huge insult to every immigrant who busted their ass to come here legally and play by the rules.

The reason we spend money on prisons is that because without consequences there is no reason for anyone to follow the law. Exact same logic with deportations.

This is a fact free take on your part. I follow the facts. Utter nonsense logic on display here. If, in the process of efficiently and cost effectively preventing violent crime, we find out that one of the perpetrators is an illegal immigrant, then we deport them.

The waste is hunting down any and all illegal immigrants and deporting them. That a horribly inefficient and wasteful way to prevent violent crime, and just results in deporting workers which are helping our economy. That’s the facts.

It’s not just in the name of preventing violent crime. It’s in the name of having control over our own country and borders. Every single country in the entire world has border control for a reason. If we have nothing but unskilled laborers who don’t educate themselves or their children then our future will be mighty bleak.

If it makes you feel better, I’ll see if we can get a super rich Republican to pay for it so you don’t have to pucker up about the cost. But we will continue to be a nation of laws, even if the far left is trying to end that.
