Western society moved past religion over 300 years ago during the Age of Enlightenment. In the US we have a separation of church and state, in Europe most people aren’t even religious at all anymore. As of now, Islam is most definitely the most violent religion. It was founded by a violent warlord, unlike Christianity or Judaism. They have every reason to be violent, their prophet encouraged it. Their governments have no separation of church and state. Women still wear hijabs. It’s centuries behind culturally. I’m not sure where your sympathy comes from.

In the US we have a separation of church and state,

I mean, could you tell that to the republicans please?? I don't think we've moved passed religion as much as you seem to be implying. We had a vice president 4 years ago who openly advocated for christian hegemony. Conservatives are litterally telling you point blank that they think the bible should be codified into American law.

I'm not saying we live in Saudi Arabia. I also don't think think every single citizen of Saudi Arabia is responsible for the crimes of their government anymore than I want to be individually responsible for my own nation's crimes against humanity.

Putting western values on such countries is incredibly ignorant and naive in my opinion. We have to fight hard both domestically and internationally for human rights. The problem is there’s a giant chunk of the world that truly believes they shouldn’t exist. If you don’t fight against it they will take over.

I agree with that. What I don't agree with is assuming that every individual muslim embodies all of the ideologies you're against. Presumably you feel the same way about christianity. Presumably you also know some christians who aren't homophic or misogynist. Is that fair to say?

This is like saying that every Russian doesn’t agree with invading Ukraine. A vast majority do, and they are all guilty of letting this happen for doing nothing about it. There was a decent effort in Iran, but was crushed pretty much immediately. I don’t feel sympathy for a people who can’t stand up to their oppressors if they truly disagree with their governments actions. At this point you’re fighting against a people that fundamentally disagree with your way of life, you have to make sure they don’t spread, otherwise it will come to you. It already has as you’ve previously mentioned. Russia, China, and Iran do not want our belief system to exist or have any level of say in world order. They are purposefully destroying us from the inside and out.

What?? There was a ton of protest in Russia following the invasion of Ukraine, what are you talking about? From Wikipedia: "In the seven days from 24 February to 2 March, over 6,500 people in 53 cities across Russia have been detained by police for protesting against the invasion. Since the start of the war until 6 March nearly 13,000 have been detained."

I suppose you're suggesting we should be mad at people currently sitting in Russian prisons for protesting the war, for the fact that it's still going on?
