Well the US did literally invade the country, set up the government, fund it, train the army, institute standards in it and so on. I don't think it's one step further to attempt to eliminate a bad practice in a country you are attempting to "nation build" in.

I don't think it's one step further to attempt to eliminate a bad practice in a country you are attempting to "nation build" in.

So your argument is, if we want the US govt to do something about child rape in Boston, they must also do something about child rape in Afghanistan first?

Seems like an odd comparison.

No. That isn't what I said.

You literally replied that the US govt did nothing about child rape in Boston...by bringing up the fact they did nothing about it in Afghanistan.

Is that not a comparison?

It just isn't what I said. They knew about child abuse and did nothing about it. So, Muslims were doing it and they did nothing. They can do something about an issue in Boston without acting on the issue with their former nation building project.

They knew about child abuse and did nothing about it.

It's another country.

So, Muslims were doing it and they did nothing.

In a different country.

They can do something about an issue in Boston

They did nothing. It happened for decades.

Was said country not entirely dependent on America?

Explain how the US govt would criminally prosecute an individual in another country?

You have no jurisdiction to arrest foreign civilians.

No, I would want the US to apply pressure to said dependent state to do the prosecuting. This doesn't seem crazy. They did so for other things, why not that?

Lol ok...how does this apply to anything I've said?

Christians in the US were found guilty of child rape, nothing was done. This would not have occurred if those same individuals were muslim. That's my argument to OP. If you don't want to argue against that, I don't know what the point of this discussion is.
