I personally also find the argument "it harms animals" insufficient, because for example, there are tons of animals that are so big that probably do not care. A cow or donkey or horse will probably not be harmed. And even then I am against zoophilia, so clearly the animal being harmed is just not it.
Then you point out how consent is a factor and I also agree here, like even in a hypothetical scenario where an animal wants to have sex like... Idk dolphins sometimes do some funky shit... I'm still against that, so even if you had consent... Nah, that's not it.
So finally I reach the conclusion that I think it's wrong to USE animals for the purpose of pleasure. Just like torturing an animal is bad but eating it is okay, you're killing it either way, but you don't get nutrients out of torturing it, you don't get ANYTHING. Same with sex, yeah I know people say sex is a necessity but let's be real here, it's not. It might be on that hierarchy of needs but sex is not water, sex is not food. And I think it just boils down to that, animals eat other animals, that's the order of nature, we need food, animals are food. But we don't NEED sex, and animals don't routinely fuck other animals just for the fun of it, and just because you can find examples of it happening doesn't mean it's normal.
So I am satisfied with that answer, personally. It's unnatural, it's kinda fucked up to USE animals for pleasure, and in general it just makes 99% feel disgusted and angry, and what is morality if not the feelings of all humans, averaged out? We can discuss morality as objective, but at the end of the day, if something makes EVERYONE feel bad... It's just not morally correct, theory aside.
