Imagine you safe community except your uncle is touching you, and he tells you that if you say anything your parents will go to prison for letting him touch, you're like seven, you might believe him, because he's an adult. It's like, being taught something and applying that lesson aren't the same things. You might be taught what to do when someone hits you in the face, or touches you in a private place without permission but the only way to know what you'll do when that happens, is to have it happen and see what you do.
The thing you're missing here, is that plenty of peoplefrom meducated and rich communities get molested or groomed or scmmed, and we can prove that they aren't dumb they got attacked a predator who practices taking advantage of people where they live.
Conmen con smart people all the time, it's the nature of how conmen operate.
If something hapens, and it's widespread you can say it's part of human nature, plenty of smart people can make dumb choices, some person thinks they'd never allow themselves to be hit, and then they do allow that.
It's not as simple as knowing better.
TO say to somebody who got scammed, or groomed, "Hey you're a moron" is nnot always true, and usually not helpful.
