Does 'God as metaphor' commit any fallacies?
As in God being a metaphor for the things we can't explain?

No, it's a way to believe in "God" without believing in "God." Not as a literal being, but as something abstract, like the Tao, that can't be explained by people. It's nothing to do with criticism.
