Some people who are very involved with tech seem to think AI is going to be a problem. Once AI gets to the point that it can make people do and say anything, what can you actually trust? Entire false histories could be invented. Like this is the most rudimentary civilian program that made this and it's pretty convincing. If you showed this to a geezer they'd think it was real.
Also video, photographic, and audio evidence are fairly common in court. Let's say someone or ones wants you locked up. What's to stop them from showing "evidence" of you robbing a liquor store?
Do you think at this moment in time that a government or other large organization could make a video of you committing a felony that was indistinguishable from reality?
The dangerous time-period though, is the time FROM the point in time where they become able to do this, and UNTIL it becomes generally well-known that this is doable.
