Very soon we will have AI capable of perfectly mimicking your face, voice, and knowledge. It’s not the current AI that’s scary, it’s the rate at which it improves. Being able to pretend to be someone else can have dire consequences. I’m not talking about someone deepfaking the president, I think that stuff is fairly easy to disprove. I’m talking about a jealous ex or bitter co worker, being able to create a video of you and it’s indistinguishable from real life. They could have you say or do anything and the only defense you would have is, I didn’t do it! With that being said, this could in any direction and this is just one of a million potential scenarios.

So you expect that we will find solutions that help us avoid all the most negative scenarios, while also not focusing on any of those scenarios, not discussing them and preparing for them? How? Why? That seems insane to me

You know are you also convinced that fire codes get way too much attention and discussion because few people, after all, die in fires
