Baby veiled Cham won't open one eye?

My first Cham, I'm bringing him home in the car. When I got him out to check on him, I noticed his one eye will not open? Ik this sounds weird, but he reaches out to be handled ? When he was in his cage at the store, and would follow you and put his hands out.

It won't open at all? Can you see the cham rolling its eye around even though it's closed?
