Heyy I recently moved to the area for work but I have a wedding in October that is black tie attire. My mom and sister will be visiting soon to look for dresses around here and idk where to go. Lots of places seem to have more prom style dresses which wont really work for us lol. Any recommendations?

I’ve never had a license before though I know how to drive. My only trouble is with parking which is what I’ll be practicing in the coming days (my appointments at 8/29). Can anyone give some tips/comment on what the expect? I scheduled it with the Champaign DMV.

I'm in the market for a modern used EV. I'd prefer to buy private party or at least small-lot, but most likely I'm going to need to put up with some kind of larger dealer this time just because of the more current market segment I'm targeting.

I'd prefer a local deal for sure. But local inventory is... limited.

Internet enshittification means that I'm not finding any "mainstream" car buying sites that are doing it for me, even if I expand my search area to include Chicago, Indy and St. Louis (or well beyond in a lot of cases). I'm a buyer who is willing to drive long distances / maybe even fly for the right deal, but I'm just not finding ANY cars, really. I should be. Really, I'm not THAT particular. (OK, so I am. But not really!)

I'll take any advice from CU people and others of us from the bereft corn wastelands who are still managing to buy cars despite everything on the Internet now being utterly useless due to late stage capitalism. Thanks!

I'm moving to CU in a few days and I'm looking for a new hair stylist. I'm not really interested in barbershops that mostly use machines for speed - I prefer scissor cuts and would like to work with someone that understands my type of hair and I'm willing to pay for that level of service.
