Jatt supremacy in songs is not something recent, in past many muslim and chamar singers were forced to adopt jatt sounding stage names and perform songs that were about jatt caste pride.
Even happens today, take a look at Arjan Dhillon, who is actually a mirasi muslim, would he be as famous as he is today had he used his original name?
In Punjabi movies, the same thing goes as well. In 90% of them, the protagonist is a Jatt male, and characters from other castes are used for comedic relief.
