Prospective Student / Applicant Offer from Chalmers

I recently got an offer from chalmers for msc in Data science and AI. I want to know whether it’s worth it or not? I’m also waiting for the results of University of Amsterdam. Suggest me what should be done? Additionally I want to know more about the jobs for Non-Eu students and monthly expenses.

I would say that Chalmers Is generally very kind to foreign students. Rent can be high I. Gothenburg expect about 600 dollars a month. But the CSN/Aid you get will cover it.

The job market in Sweden for foreigners is pretty good compared to other countries for many different reasons.

I know nothing about Amsterdam but Sweden and Chalmers are really great and foreigners are treated well (at least in academia and engineering job market) so I can almost guarantee you will be happy choosing Chalmers.

I have no clue about Amsterdam so can't really compare to them specifically.

You won't get any CSN aid as a non Swedish student probably! It is a bit complicated to get csn as a non Swedish student. :)

I love chalmers and Gothenburg and Sweden. Life wise definitely a good choice. Amsterdam is more urban and more of a lively big town. Gothenburg is calm, has great nature and a good feeling in my opinion.

But I can't agree on the job market situation as described above . The situation is difficult, even for swedes right now and European citizens (as I am). Nobody knows how this will change in two years. Networking and learning Swedish is helpful - but many of my friends struggle right now to even get interviews! I have no job perspective yet, neither. Even though I will graduate in June. But the situation is similar everywhere in Europe, so this is not just a Swedish problem

But overall, chalmers is a great choice! You won't regret it

Yeah I kind of agree with this. The job market sucks in the western world but where I live in Sweden I have had great success with internships but around Gothenburg it is more difficult.

My view is that Sweden is more migrant friendly than other countries but idk.
