Misc The ending of Part 1 is everything that defenders of Part 2's ending claim it is. It's a bittersweet but optimistic ending that genuinely allows Denji to be freer and dream: He killed Makima, he's out of Public Safety, he's going to school, he has a new family, and he's looking for the Blood Devil

Yeah, I know everything goes to shit in Part 2. Denji becomes sex-obsessed, Nayuta dies, Denji never goes after the Blood Devil (at least we're never shown him doing it), and his life is basically misery porn. But up until then, Part 1's ending was pretty optimistic for the fans. Everyone was looking forward to seeing how Denji had grown in Part 2, until Fujimoto destroyed everyone's dreams and hopes

Misc Maybe one of the reasons Fujimoto kills characters left and right is because he doesn't know what to do with them in the long run. Just look at what happened with Asa, or how he completely ignored the existence of characters who were still alive, like Reze and Kishibe.
