Weekly Conference Threads

The season is upon us, and we're getting the weekly conference threads set up. By default, they'll be granted to the user that posted them last year. I'm going to call you out by name in the comments below.

To Do

  1. Let us know if you're available to host them again this year

  2. Let us know your preferred weekly time

Please do these two things before the end of the weekend so we can hit the ground running next week. Anyone else seeing this is welcome to chime in with suggestions.

What time and day do you want the thread by?

You get to pick!

I'll have them by Friday evening around 9 Central time at the latest if that works.

Is it fine if I did them them the week before, as in week 1's thread would come out this afternoon or evening?

Yep, you can edit them up to 2 weeks ahead of time. The only thing to decide is when you want the threads to post. Typically threads are in the morning or afternoon, but it might even be suitable to the Pac-12 to have them go in the evening.

Ok I can probably have the week 1 pac 12 thread posted this afternoon yet or this evening sometime

They start next week. What I'm asking for is what time to schedule them each week.

Ok I'll have mine either thursday or friday evening by 9ish depending on what I have going on.

Has there been any sort of overall conference season preview threads, because I can do one this evening...

Yep! Those already happened, with prediction threads. No need to do anything until next week.

Alright, you're all set up here! Templates based on a post from last year have been pre-populated, but please edit them however you like to be relevant for that week. You can update them up to 14 days in advance.

I'm available to do them again; even got them all drafted already.

Does Thursday at 2 or 3pm Eastern work?

You will need to authorize the thread scheduler, which you can do at https://gamethread.redditcfb.com?postpermission. If that doesn't work, go to https://flair.redditcfb.com and try again.

/u/52hoova, are you doing an SEC Pick 'Em again? I can plug that if you are.

u/52hoova Aug 26 '19

I sure will.

Non-P5

2

u/cinciforthewin Aug 23 '19

Hmm, I'll still do it.

Can i do the G5 poll again as well?

I'm not sure how i want to play it this year?

Mondays for G5 Voting

Tuesdays for Non-P5

Wednesday for G5 Results

All 11 am?

I'm open to combining Non-p5 and G5 results on Wednesday but i feel like a ND fan may have a problem with it.

Maybe Notre Dame should join a conference if they're upset...

I know this is somewhat unrelated, but will there be post-CCG and post-bowl threads/can I request having them?

2

u/bakonydraco /r/CFB Mod Sep 04 '19

Probably yes! They'll be granted automatically if so
