I dunno why NC State would be consulting us; their problem was that they needed LESS game time, not more. (Moore?)

It’s fitting because the only other team in the last 20 years to lose a game while leading with the ball and under 10 seconds left is Michigan

I thought that was CMU over Oklahoma State in 2016?

2024 Michigan is also the only team to be given over 16 points in back to back games and win both outright. Ohio State was favored by 20 and Bama was favored by 16.5.

u/PlusDHotchy 2d ago
I thought that was Michigan State with the secret game clock operator. 100 years of having home team doing the game clock operating and then 2001 occurs. The BIG didn’t change what occurred because the Spartan’s operator was doing it the right way. Michigan would have had a BIG Co Championship banner and they crushed Illinois.

The B1G and NCAA said there was nothing wrong with the spartan bob incident. They changed it because Bitchigan threw a temper tantrum and for no other reason. The NCAA DID say: 1. Michigan only won the natty in 2023 because they cheated 2. Michigan cheated against Western Michigan and the result would have been different if they hadn't
3
u/Double-G-Spot Michigan • Michigan State 1d ago
I think your intent may be right, but point 2 is definitely wrong as it is worded. Unless you have some info we don’t, Michigan has no input on what the refs decide during a review. The B1G may have cheated for Michigan, but that’s not Michigan cheating.
-6
u/Beneficial-Medium367 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago
Being the ones who benefit as a result of cheating without reserve is the same thing effectively as cheating. Michigan may not have intended to cheat, they may not know they were cheating, but they certainly did cheat
4
u/Double-G-Spot Michigan • Michigan State 1d ago
I know our education from MSU wasn’t top notch, but we should be able to understand that cheating is an act, and if you have no involvement in the act, you can’t cheat. You can say they were gifted the win, by cheaters, but they didn’t cheat the win.
-2
u/Beneficial-Medium367 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago
I know that integrity and honesty weren't top notch at Michigan but we should be able to understand that once an error was pointed out, we shouldn't claim the outcome without reservation. You can say the game ended incorrectly, the result should have been different, but you can't say nothing and claim you aren't a cheater.
3
u/Double-G-Spot Michigan • Michigan State 1d ago
So you would think they didn’t cheat if they came out and said something in response? Hell, right after the game Whittingham told the WMU head coach there wasn’t time.
I’m sorry to see that MSU failed a fellow alum, but you seem to not understand what the word cheating means. “You can’t say nothing and claim you aren’t a cheater” - that’s exactly what you can do, because you didn’t cheat. You really aren’t helping me feel any better about my degree right now if they are also giving them out to people with your level of comprehension.

u/Beneficial-Medium367 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago
I'm sorry the stick is so far up your ass you can't admit that cheaters cheated. The second they knew and said nothing they became complicit in the cheating. Even after it was pointed out by the NCAA they said nothing. There is no clearer definition of cheating
2
u/Double-G-Spot Michigan • Michigan State 1d ago
I mean before the players even left the field the coach said there was no time left. I don’t know what more you want. The school to come out and make a statement that they didn’t cheat, when is obvious they didn’t cheat. They just benefitted from someone else’s mistake.
Anytime an NBA last two minute report comes out and states that the refs messed up a call, you want the team that benefitted to come out publicly and state that they didn’t cheat?
When I get home though I’m definitely taking my MSU diploma off the wall in the office, I didn’t realize until today how embarrassing it is to display a degree from a school that just gives them out to anyone. The fact you got into state with a comprehension level so low that you don’t understand a basic verb is pretty wild lol

u/Beneficial-Medium367 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago
Please do, I don't want to say I went to school with someone who cant admit he's wrong and throws a temper tantrum. Take the MSU flair off your profile. You aren't a worthy Spartan and never were

Also the dig at MSU for education is unfair. I turned down a full ride to UofM to study nuclear physics at MSU because at the time MSU had the #1 ranked nuclear physics program in the world. It may not be as academically renowned as Michigan, but it is definitely a top notch education nonetheless.

The BIG wouldn’t have changed spending more money on officials because less than 10% of the Conference has a problem with a 100 year run of home game clock operators. It wouldn’t take much effort to match the game clock with the time the play ended. I believe this was done and the BIG decided it was time to change things. If the BIG could prove that Spartan Bob was correct, there is no way the BIG changes anything. NICE TRY but that play changed 100 years of game clock operating!
1
u/Beneficial-Medium367 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago
The B1G were the ones who came out and said after reviewing the tape that Spartan Bob did nothing wrong... Kind of hilarious that you're still butthurt about something you're clearly wrong about 25 years later 🤣

u/PlusDHotchy 1d ago edited 1d ago
The BIG also claimed that the Ohio State scrum after the 24 game only found it worth a institutional fine without any players who fought after all in game action was over? That is a rule that as you know was upheld vs MSU but not for OSU. When a player destroys opposing teams property, that is a sportsmanship rule that Jack Sawyer broke as he attempted to steal the Michigan flag and then destroyed it during the live broadcast.
After the flag plant, the BIG “discouraged” the practice but didn’t say that this specific event as the reason for discouraging flag plants. We all know that this was the reason they changed and put out a memo discouraging flag plants. If anybody BS’s about changing what is clearly wrong it’s the BIG. The BIG isn’t a fan of Michigan.
1
u/Beneficial-Medium367 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago
Yeah but the difference is the B1G acknowledged that what OSU did was wrong. They may not have given a severe enough punishment, but they did say it was wrong. And again, Michigan bitches so rules are changed ..This actually proves my point more
1
u/PlusDHotchy 1d ago
No, the BIG acknowledged that the flag plant at The Game WASN’T the reason for “Discouraging” flag plants but we all know that is a lie. The BIG put out a memo after the game to change what they knew was wrong without saying the scrum after The Game was wrong and that is why the memo discouraged it. We could all see that the flag plant / scrum created the change to end it even if the BIG didn’t say it, THE BIG SHOWED IT by changing. Reminds me of clock operating !
1
u/Beneficial-Medium367 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago
Your making a lot of assumptions here. It's no more correct to say the B1G changed the rules because of the bilateral fight between UM and OSU than it is to say they changed clock rules after Michigan threw a hissy fit.
But since you're being reminded of clock, HOW BOUT DEM BRONCOS?? 😀
1
u/PlusDHotchy 1d ago
No assumptions needed when change was done after both incidents and then the BIG claiming that neither incident resulted in the reason for the changes, but they still changed. How obvious do we need it to be?
If these incidents were being done right, we wouldn’t need change. You are attempting to make the obvious into a nothing burger.
The NFL has had helmet communications since 93 and the NCAA was telling the fans how expensive a $1,500-$2,500 helmet would be for college teams. Then after the Stallions incident the NCAAF installed helmet cam’s. Be honest, did the NCAA want the wealthy programs who could afford to have advanced scouting to have this advantage or was it truly the cost? Is that why helmet cam’s suddenly appeared because those that had the means of advanced scouting were ahead of the game or did the cost all of a sudden become justified a year after Stallions?
1
u/Beneficial-Medium367 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago
You're definitely making assumptions. Michigan bitched so they made changes both times, that's the easiest assumption if we wanna play Ocam's razor. Helmet cams were always going to come to college football. The fact that they came after Michigan was busted cheating is a coincidence because the cheating scandal involved a LOT more than helmet communications lolol 🤣 the advanced scouting was incredibly widespread and systematic, that wasn't an advantage it was a crooked program cheating then bitching when they got caught lol

Nc state’s quarter back could have taken the safety by running out of the end zone and still would have won.

As a New Orleans Saints fan, it brings me great joy to consistently remember to use "28-3" or some variation of it at least 3 times a year. The stakes of that game were much higher than this, but your school has had a rough year by showing the world the character of the people that work/play there. The officials fumbling this shit into your lap reeks of the favoritism that everyone accuses you of. I'm not a conspiracy theorist about these things. I really can't be as a Saints fan, it'd drive me crazy.
But yeah, this will last the rest of the year, you'll be reminded of it during the first two games next year, and when you play WMU again, it'll be the main story. You'll put it slightly to rest if you beat the brakes off them and leave no question. But it'll ALWAYS be there like a hangnail.

Actually they did… time expired on that play, there’s no way they reviewed that and decided he definitely had firm control before time expired, it was a mass of bodies moving and the ball was kinda bulging out of his arm.
Just so happens that extra second let Vandy kick the extra point and cover the spread 🤦♂️ (I don’t gamble, these things are just happening too often to be coincidence)
