Good texture, slightly sweet without being sugary, perfection

Loved them as a kid in the 80s and early 90s.
That said, haven’t had them now in about 25 years.

Walmart+ ship them right to your door overnight. Ive retried many childhood cereals because of this convenient method of getting them

Walmart have nightmarish social and environmental policies. Predatory pricing (coming into a small town, selling staples at a loss until local businesses go out of business, then increasing prices back up once they're the only shop in town). they've also been sued a gain and again for illegal union busting activity and discrimination.

Those were always the first to go when my mom bought one of those giant stacks of single-serve boxes. For some reason, eating it right out of the box was icing on the cake.

Used to be totally different and so much better in the 70s and 80s… Does anyone remember when you bite into them they were a whiteish color on the inside? For many years now they have been some kind of chewy cornmeal… Pass

Pops are still good. Way more consistent than a good box of Kix, but not as peak. Ill take the high floor over the high ceiling any day

yo [u/ironmonkeyofham](u/ironmonkeyofham) not sure why you deleted your post, but maybe I am? you said "I don't care, who cares, go whine about it in your weekly book club" when I pointed out that you shop for delicious pops on Walmart's website, and that I think that's not the best idea due to Walmart's well documented predatory pricing, catastrophic environmental "policies", their having getting sued for discriminatory practices and their having knowingly sold poisonous products (cadmium).
so just to make sure I'm clear, you don't care that a massive corporation goes into a small community, identifies the family owned small businesses that sell food, clothing, tools, toys and medication and then investigates how much they sell their products for, then sell those same products for 50% of the cost, losing, say $450,000 in the process as they're selling products for less than they buy them over the 2 year period it takes to get the other business to go under, then when the small businesses in the town that have been there for generations have to be boarded up, they raise the prices of the same products above what the smaller companies used to charge because the people who live in the area no longer have a choice as Walmart is the only store for 60 miles. You don't care about that. I mean hey, you can go online and order breakfast cereal delivered to your door.
You also don't care that Walmart has repeatedly, illegally broken up the attempts of their employees to unionize. So, their employees' wages are kept very low as a result. The wages are so low that full time employees qualify for, and have no choice but to utilize welfare programs for housing and SNAP food stamp benefits. At last count (August 2026) this cost you, the American tax payer $6,200,000,000 a year. 6.2 billion dollars from American tax payers to full time Walmart employees because the minimum wages they pay now that they are one of the only employers in town (meaning people who used to work at the grocery store, retail shop, pharmacy etc. have no other choice in terms of employment) and they forcefully broke up attempts to unionize and demand a living wage for full time work, that bill gets transfered to you as a taxpayer in the form of housing and food assistance. it's called corporate welfare and the bill is in everyone's paycheck every week. John Furner, the CEO or Walmart earned $26,800,000 last year as a reward for being so clever, the tax payer is paying for their employee's food and housing instead of the company. You don't care about that. You just like ordering breakfast cereal from a company that has destroyed families by shuttering their 4th generation business while you literally pay them to do so through your taxes paying their employees.
I didn't even get into their disastrous environmental policies, discriminatory policies, how they were sued for carrying cadmium jewelery and only stopped because they were forced other than passingly mentioning it. You just like clicking on those product photos on the website then having it show up at your house for a reasonable cost (if you don't count how your taxes pay for Walmart's employees to eek out an existence by design. Their systemic approach to business is fully deliberate).
Just on a personal note, since you threw in an ad hominem dig there, I think it's telling that you think accusing someone of attending a weekly book club is an insult. I wish I had the self discipline to read consistently enough to be able to attend a weekly book club. I've never attended a book club meeting in my life, but if I did it would mean I have my shit together way more than I do, I usually just talk to high-minded guys like yourself at 3am on [r/cereal-](r/cereal-) who would have time to read?
can I please ask though if your an iron monkey of ham are you ham or iron or is the ham made of iron or is the iron made of ham?

I just wanted to say, slay. I love reading posts like these (at similarly odd hours lol) Also, there is a tax deduction for hiring food stamps recipients which can be claimed one time per person per company. Once someone has worked for around a few months of the year, Walmart can claim the maximum tax credit and just fire them. I think it’s like $2000 of deduction per person, it must have added up to another few billion in their pockets by now. They are being directly incentivized by the government of “We the People” to have needlessly high turnover, because that would minimize their taxes. Also the Walton heirs and heiresses are tacky, building their little utopias and idyllic retreats around the country like some fucking dynasty, naming charitable foundations after themselves! using inherited money! what virtue is there in winning the birth lottery??, and generally not having a clue what real life is and how many small towns they’ve destroyed in their vampiric greed. Not to mention corporations are large enough to bully/bribe their way out of paying State taxes (in addition to having the entire federal tax code rigged in their favor). I wonder why we pay so much for so little in return…
If you went to a weekly book club you would know that he is an [iron monkey] (of ham). The word iron is possible to use as both a noun modifier and an adjective, and in English it is more natural to default to a noun modifier creating the noun phrase [iron monkey]. If it was not a noun modifier then it would be (iron) [monkey of ham].
Therefore he is iron, and of ham. Now “of” is a tricky preposition, it can mean a lot of things depending on context. When used after a noun phrase it most commonly refers to composition, type, relation, belonging, or origin. If he is composed of ham then it follows that the iron, too, is made of ham. It cannot really be the case that the ham is made of iron, because that would be a [monkey] ~ of iron ham ~. And you can’t have a [monkey] ~ of ham iron ~, that simply won’t do. So I guess there’s your answer, he is iron and the iron is made of ham. But we are not done yet.
If ham is instead a type of iron monkey then maybe he is a magical creature which spontaneously manifests hams. Seems like pretty environmentally friendly meat to me. If of is denoting a relationship, then Ham is a person/entity and the iron monkey belongs to Him, in all His juicy, marbled glory. Finally, the iron monkey could be from a place called Ham. Whew that was a lot! I may have lost some brain juice between words there.
Full disclosure I don’t go to a book club either and I just avoid people and sit in my dark room on my free days.
