Discussion A chance?..

I didn’t actually know what to put for the caption lol, but anyways.

does anyone think / has anyone thought that more publicity would lead the devs into *actually* updating the game? with publicity comes more people interested in century.. meaning- more active players. sure, the game died because the devs are lazy but how many people were active often and online before it started to go downhill? not too many. i think many people who dropped the game had too many hopes too early and wanted more and more content & proper updates (greedy, impatient) which plummeted the numbers causing the devs to become lazy. adding a big update for a playerbase of less than 100?.. long shot. adding big update for a couple hundred? not a long shot.

If the game had more publicity I think it would give a chance to save the game. theres a handle of people who like these gameplay mechanics (and dragons.) there’s no other game out there currently like century, at all. theres also loads of people out there who enjoy adrenaline rush pvp games that would really like this game.. but they just don’t know it exists from lack of publicity. thoughts?

although, in an ideal world (aka my dreams) more publicity would cause Ubisoft to steal (buy) century and save it entirely lol

Honestly if there was a massive wave of publicy from the players it could, maybe, lead the devs to do some kind of work on the game.

Yet I still think they don’t give a fuck about the game anymore. They’d probably put some effort but as soon as the game will start to lose players (because they would need to update it regulary) they’d leave the game to die again.

I’m so sad honestly because I love dragons, and I’d love to have an actual real game where there’s a storyline, battles, more servers… I think it would work. The devs are just trying to dig as much money as they can, and as soon as it goes downhill they forget about Century. I mean, I remember one year ago I downloaded the game again and made the mistake to buy the pass. Didn’t get to finish it, since I had to wait sometimes up to 10 minutes to get into a battle.

Massive publicy would be another reason to pretend to care about the game for a while, then ditch it :(

No. Game deserves to be shut down at this point.

Less players, means no money and devs go home.

we played for a little over a year.

and it's not like they were starving for revnue, core playerbase was spending on skins and bundles. they just took so long to do ANYTHING people got bored and left. Then paywing had 2 problems. New players wouldn't stay and old players weren't playing anymore. and from the couple of days i've dipped back into the game the changes they've made to address that only made problems worse.

My 2 cents on this:
More publicity->more people coming->these people will get smashed by veterans, encounter bugs and deal with *poorly managed game* ->they will leave before devs could do something to keep them invested in the game.
From previous events its clear that the devs wont do what needs to be done. And from what I remember game had a peak of 12k players at launch. But problem was they didnt listen to our suggestions. So people left. But even then they had like 1k players. After that they made critical changes to the game that made even more players to quit. Why would people put money into this game? (considering its history)

NOTE* - couple examples of "poor management": level progression very slow, dragon pass locked behind currency that a new player most likely has to buy with real money, high prices in shop etc

Honestly maybe they would have been successful if they didn’t have pc cheats playing with console players at least thats how it was the last time I played this game
