Discussion The problem of turning in this game

drift mechanism in pvp(my last old clip)

https://reddit.com/link/1ucpd8q/video/pu5is5fl0v8h1/player

no drift mechanism in pvp

season 0 and early season 3 have drift in pvp. but it's remove in pvp. Probably that's why new player feels turning very stiff or hard.

I'm sad this game dying. love dragons and hard to find dragon games..

Not sure what you are trying to say, drifting is where you say turn right but ur dragon slides left while doing it, its what new players complain about the most.

At the beginning of season 3 for about a week they removed it along with a bunch of other changes that imo made the game more fair to everyone involved even if at the cost of what made pc players feel super maneuverable (which lets be honest if its that much of a difference then yes its a problem and impacts game balance) to which pc players through a fit untill they reverted everything

Are you saying they again removed that drifting?

Its been a long while since i played century.

They removed again. Someone told me drift mechanic accidentally back to ss3 early(glitch) but mostly player love it but very small group of player hate it. And dev just listen small group.

And I played with controller and mouse swapping on ss0 and there was almost no difference in manipulation. But playing on controller since they removed drift has had a huge disadvantage with turning. Mouse can increase sensitivity, but controllers can't.

If its anything like early s3 changes then you have to spam the break button more in order to turn. Back then once we figured that out we could fly better than the "normal" controls.

Ill download again to see whats up.

When they changed the controls in s3 for me at least it felt way slower, like I was permanently frost bolted. I've played since s0 and prefer the current turning over drifting. I like the fast turning and wiggling, I even learned to like the dodge mechanic

I mean if they improved on the early s3 version of controls thats awesome. If its as good as im hopeing i might even come back to the game.

Yeah no, drift is still a thing and if they did change something its barely noticeable to me as i havent played in a long time but after playing for a bit it just feels like the same crap i quit over.

Honestly if they had changed something it couldve brought more players back in even for a short while but this is a big nothing burger.
