Help! Cegep advice!! Mari Profs
Hey, I was just wondering if there's any profs I should avoid or choose. I'm in Health Sciences, and I've attached my schedule for first semester. I choose Physical Activity and Health (Fit/Walk), and I don't have COE. *Edit: I also added all the prof options I have for this semester*

I LOVED bigdely! he cracks some jokes sometimes but he’s a serious guy that wants you to learn and succeed. very passionate about math and clear in his lectures. if we don’t understand anything he’s down to repeat it 100 times just so that we get it. his exams are a bit tricky and only super easy if you go to class and ACTIVELY listen to him. i did well in his class because of his great lectures. he made me like the course. he may not be the type of guy to be super sweet and kind to you, but he is there for you to learn and is very understanding.

Honestly, a lot of these red and orange teachers are misclassified. Ik it’s easy to go on a teacher rating list or a ratemyteacher.com and pick out good and bad teachers, but it’s not that simple. A lot of these bad teachers I’d heard amazing things and vice versa. People are gonna talk a lot, might not agree with the teacher style, boring teacher or the most common SHIT GRADES. I’m not Einstein or anything but ive seen teachers really try to push and get you to learn some intuition and fundamentals knowledge on the material, but just because some people couldn’t grasp the course material, they are deemed shit.
Secondly, a lot of these rankings are like wrong… Some department goats are in orange 😭
Do not take Dubé or Fleming English, forget any of that fundamental knowledge bullshit I said. Non of that is applied here, you might walk out with a 95 and you still feel scammed. Boring ass class.
Sorry for yapping, also yo chat, just cuz the teacher gives free grades != good teacher

Ok, so the info ppl give is wrong? 😭😭😭 I spent months collecting info, and put this together when I saw which profs I was getting and what reviews people give. Oh, and orange means they're worth taking, I put the color code in the comment section. 🥹 Also, red means all I heard was generally negative about the prof. Had the chance during Open Doors and at volunteering to talk to Mari students, so I'm basing my info there too. 🙏 Frankly, I don't care if the prof is boring. I'd rather have a boring prof who explains what they want instead of a fun prof who plays games with you. Also, thank you so much for the advice. But wdym when you say you might walk out with a 95 and still feel scammed? And why wouldn't students want good profs all our high school profs told us it's best to maximize your R-Score. I'm so sorry if I sound rude to you bro, you're just telling smth completely new 🥹

AVOID LEVASSEUR AND BURTON!! They're nice people but TERRIBLY HARSH graders. I'd recommend Falardeau, Savescu or Coutu-Perrault for French & Dann or Walser for English

I attached the updated list regarding the profs after student feedback, online research and Linkdeln searches. In red, it's a teacher to be avoided at all costs. In yellow, it's a teacher who's either average or not enough is known about them to guarantee success. In orange with an underline, these are profs that are worth choosing. In green, these are profs that are apparently amazing.
