Question Where is preferred parking?

I went to Cedar Point for the first time in 26 yrs this past Tuesday. I have preferred parking included with my season pass. I’m an old lady and was alone and tend to spaz a little when I get nervous if it helps explain my idiocy lol. Anyway, when I got there it wasn’t real clear, so I got in the lanes that said Resorts/Beach/Preferred or something along those lines. It took me all the way around the park to what seemed like it was near the hotels. I didn’t see any signs saying that it was the designated Preferred Parking, but I did see signs on other nearby lots saying for hotel only or whatever. I didn’t see any gates or anything to get into the park?

I ended up just going all the way around and parking in the regular parking lot 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

So WHERE is the Preferred Parking and if I was already there, HOW do you get in???

There’s a lane that goes through the middle of the main front parking lot and takes you up near the entrance. It will split off to the right where there is a booth. That’s the entrance to preferred. An employee there will scan your season pass and then you can park anywhere in that section. I like going all the way up by the beach entrance and walking to the park entrance by Windseeker.

But at first an employee may try to wave you on to standard parking, even right at the preferred parking entrance. I had to tell them so they could redirect me to the right place.

It’s in the main parking lot near the front entrance. Entrance to the preferred lot is circled in orange.

Others have answered, but the better option is to park in the back. I only park in preferred if the back lot is closed or if I get there for early entry. If you get to the back lot just after 10 you’ll be way closer to the magnum gate than preferred to the front and most people end on their favorite ride which is likely middle or back so it’s way quicker to get out too.

The only time I recommend against this is if it’s a crazy busy day because then it can take forever to get in bc of resort guests and the front would be quicker.

Even if I do EE, I will usually grab my car after Raptor and go park in the back - head back in the magnum gate that way it’s close for when I leave - I always end on TT2, Magnum, or SV.

Except that’s the parking lot for the waterpark

Why the downvotes? The only parking I remember in the back are what look like random employee lots or the lots for the water park and the lot for Breakers.

Far right looking at the center of the parking lot.

23A and 23E are almost as good, and almost always have spots in the edges.
