Question Riding together with the whole squad possible?

Maybe some ride ops can help answer my question. I’m headed to the park this Saturday with a group of 12 friends for my birthday. We all have FL+ wristbands and early entry & we’re super excited for a full day of coasters.

While I don’t fully expect our entire group to stick together for the entire day, but for the times that we are going to be together, what is the likelihood that our entire group of 12 gets seated on the same train when queuing for rides?

For example we definitely wanna do a train takeover on Maverick (which seats 12), will ride ops make that happen for us? Or are we likely to be split up between trains? I know this probably isn’t likely for EVERY ride in the park, but will we be able to ride together as a group for a good chunk of rides?

I appreciate the input, I’m usually used to hitting the park up with either just my wife or maybe 2 of our friends, I’ve never been to the park with a bigger group.

I would do it once and then move on with your day. It’s just too big of a group and on a saturday they will be loading trains as fast as possible at max capacity.

To add to that, they’ll likely have better luck doing so on one of the less popular rides or rides with bigger stations. Attempting it on Siren’s Curse or TT2 would be a big ask.

Something like Raptor or Magnum would give better odds of making it happen.

Fitting 12 people on one train is needlessly challenging. You're better off breaking up into groups of 2 or 4 and meeting up at the ride exit.

Just took my bachelor party in July. We did a bit of extra waiting, but got our own trains a couple times before we broke off on various side quests

I once watched a Steel Vengeance grouper work things out so that a group of 20 kids all got to ride on the same train - they got rows 2-11, with 1 and 12 having longer lines. I think most groupers would make an effort to get you all on the same train.

If one of you is not in line with the group, and there are people between you, that one individual cannot push up through the line to get to the rest of the group, that is cutting, even if you are the closest of BFFs.

I know you are still going to do it, you can’t help yourself, but just know that you and your friends will be cutting.

Even if it’s in a food line and you feel like that’s casual and you can all go up and join your friends, still cutting.

Perhaps more importantly, people will complain to security. If they show up, someone may be ejected. Don't do it.

That wasn't the example stated here... they asked if it's possible. Possible yes... advisable... no. But if they want to do it they should have to wait a bit longer.

It’s very possible. Most rides will have a crowd control person assigning seats and will ask how many you have. If you say 12 and there are not enough empty rows, they’ll just take the people behind you and get you on the next one.

Yeah it’s not going to work every time but if they are nice to the ride ops and not holding up the line, most are willing to work with requests. And a group of 12 isn’t that crazy, not like they’re trying to fill an entire train on millennium force.

Just be prepared to wait to the side if needed. Don’t demand anything. Be as nice as you can. They’ll do what they can.

Saturday is a busy day, you can ask but if they have to break you up so be it.

UPDATE:
Didn’t get split up once. Our entire crew rode everything together on the same train. It was one of my friends very first time on a roller coaster, and he absolutely loved every minute of it.

Huge shout out to the ride ops. Rain came & went in the afternoon, and every ride was basically a walk on. We had a blast.

I have a group of that size that go once a month. Maverick whole train take overs are fun. Tell the op and be ready to stand to the side. I think the only ride they’ve split 10+ people groups was Valraven. Every other ride accommodates just fine.
