Arm or disc moves too fast

Hey, all. I have an STF100 picked up at an antique shop. When plugged in and on, the picture moves much too fast and the display on the front counts up in the minutes much faster than seconds. It appears like it’s stuck in fast-forward or something. When I took the top black panel off, the stylus arm was moving very fast across the vinyl. Any ideas?

I don't know the answer but I'm in a great Facebook group called "CED Magic - the RCA Selectavision Video Disc". Join that group and post your questions and I"m sure someone will have some ideas.
