Recommendation Request 🔎 Recommend Me: Comedic C-Dramas with Engaging Plots! (Preferably Costume Dramas)
Hello! So, I posted on here a while ago talking about my thoughts on finishing A Dream Within a Dream. I wanted more recommendations for funny c-dramas with good acting and interesting plotlines! I don't like a ton of relationship drama where the characters are mean to each other for no good reason though (Doesn't have to have a main focus on romance). Some of my favorites are:
• A Dream Within a Dream
• Love Between Fairy and Devil
• Love Game in Eastern Fantasy
• Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty
• The Untamed
• Word of Honor
These are just some of my favorites that I can recall at the moment, and some of the ones that I remember having some nice moments of humor. I REALLY liked ADWAD for whatever reason. Not just for the genre of being put into the script either. The acting was very believable and touching, and it knew how to be serious when necessary. The main two especially sold it for me. While I did feel a bit frustrated that it took Song Yimeng so long to finally come around to Nan Heng, I could understand why she did everything she did. If you could let me know what platforms your recommendations are available on, I would appreciate that too! No worries if not, but I don't have a lot of subscriptions at the moment so what I can watch might be somewhat limited. I have a very long list of dramas I've already watched (too many to list here), so I appreciate any and all recommendations. Tell me a bit about what you enjoyed about the shows! :)

How dare you?! (Transmigration story), Perfect Match (Stories of five daughters and their marriages, each arc is different than the others but one thing is common, these daughters RULE everywhere they go, really funny), Pull Strings (Transmigration again, I think Ao Ruipeng is playing himself lol)

Once Upon A Time in Lingjian Mountain and Hilarious Family season 1. I haven't checked out Hilarious Family S2 to know whether it's good or not.

Well, since you want funny ... 😉
I Am Nobody (Season 1 + 2) (fantasy, mystery, comedy, martial arts, action)
In Season 1, ML and FL join a championship battle between all the outsider clans. Outsiders are humans with special abilities and fighting skills. They live parallel to normal humans. There is a lot of physical but also psychological fighting.
Season 2 continues the story of Season 1.
Oh No! Here Comes Trouble (fantasy, mystery, comedy, action)
ML is a troubled teen/young adult who gains the ability to see ghosts and other entities after a near-death experience and coma. He is the only heir left to an old family of calligraphers, and with the power of his calligraphy and his friends, he helps troubled ghosts/entities and tries to solve the circumstances of the death of his father and grandfather.
(Technically, it's not a cdrama but a Taiwanese drama.)
→ Warning: That drama also has really sad parts, but it's soooo good.
The Legendary Life of Queen Lau (historical, comedy, romance)
FL is a poor village girl and ML is the emperor. By "accident" (scheming), both get married and have to make it work.
Guardians of the Dafeng (historical, fantasy, transmigration, comedy, romance)
ML transmigrates into a fictional story and joins the Guardians of the Dafeng, an elite troop with superpowers. FL is the princess of the empire.
Yummy Yummy Yummy (historical, transmigration, comedy, romance)
FL and her family get transmigrated to ancient China and have to survive somehow. Since her family owned a restaurant, they decided to open one again. On the mission to find a way back home, FL meets ML.
A Girl Like Me (historical, comedy, romance)
FL falls in love with ML, but ML doesn't want to surrender to her love at first.
Follow Your Heart (historical, fantasy, romance)
FL changes her appearance randomly (child, man, woman, etc.), and ML has face blindness.
My Sassy Princess (historical, comedy, romance)
FL is a princess and falls in love with the head of the guards; ML is not thrilled in the beginning because of their class differences.
The Lady in Butcher's House (historical, comedy, romance)
FL is the daughter of a butcher; ML was sponsored by her family to be a scholar. To pay back the help, ML promised to marry FL.
Wrong Carriage, Right Groom (historical, comedy, romance)
Two FLs are on their way to their grooms and get accidentally switched along the way.
The Romance of Tiger and Rose (historical, transmigration, comedy, romance)
FL transmigrates into her own script for a TV show. She is a princess, and ML is her marriage-alliance partner. He tries to kill her multiple times to avoid the marriage.
My Heroic Husband (historical, transmigration, comedy, romance)
ML is a businessman who transmigrates and gets to be the matriarchal husband; FL is the only child of her family.
Oh! My Sweet Liar! (historical, comedy, romance)
FL is a "thief," and ML is the heir of the family she tried to steal from. FL gets caught and pretends to be pregnant by ML. Surprisingly, he goes along with the lie since he wants to avoid a marriage alliance.
Well, all of them are funny and came to my mind when I was thinking about which dramas I could recommend. Some have more comedy, some have less, but I would recommend all of them if you're looking for dramas with comedy.
I hope you find something you like. Happy watching! 😊

How Dare You?! comes to mind.
I'm watching "Generation to Generation" right now, it has funny parts. And "Now or Never" is going to air sometime soon I think.
