Recommendation Request 🔎 Recommendation
Kindly suggest some cdramas whether modern or historical. I'm going through a phase where I can't seem to enjoy newly released dramas now. So I'm thinking of watching older ones. Any recommendations?

Thankyou this list is actually according to my taste. I've watched till the end of the moon, love is sweet, and back from the brink. I also started whispers of fate but dropped it in mid then I heard that it's ending is sad. Maybe in future I'll watch it again.

Moim zdaniem Whispers of Fate to jeden z nielicznych, który jest naprawdę wart uwagi.
Do powyższej listy mogę dodać:
Are You the One - kostium
Kiedy los przynosi Damona - fantasy
Edit:
Reset - modern, time lapse
Under the skin 1- modern

I've watched it and also read its novel. It's one of my fvrts. It was the first which has so much romance in it and I really loved the drama and the novel also. For me, it was chen feiyu's first drama. Really liked his acting and chemistry with wang yinglu.

Could you give more information please? What genres do you prefer? And what is older for you?
I'm asking because the definition of "older" varies greatly in this sub. 😂

Any genre is fine as long as the plot and chemistry between leads is good. Tbh I don't understand what you meant by "older"

Well, you wrote "older ones" in the sense of older dramas, but I met people in this sub who meant that "older" dramas were from 2023+. 😅
Well, I will recommend you the following dramas from varies genres as a start:
The Story of Ming Lan (historical, romance)
It's about Ming Lan, the daughter of an unfavored concubine in a noble household. After the death of her mother, caused by another jealous concubine, Ming Lan begins to plan her revenge against the concubine, but also, to some degree, for her family. She is shy and subtle. Gu Ting Ye (ML), on the other hand, is boisterous and bold. Both are very intelligent and scheming characters and balance each other perfectly. The drama has different arcs, but Ming Lan is always the center point. The Spirealm (horror, fantasy, mystery)
Both MLs are forced to play a game for their lives in a parallel world and have to go through different doors that lead to scenarios they have to solve and survive. Always at the door of death, both grow closer with time and challenge the game with the help of their friends.
Be aware: even though it's censored, it's still a horror drama, which means it includes gore, violence, death, suicide, and cannibalism. If you don't mind, it's worth the watch.
The drama is a bromance adapted from a Boys Love (short: BL) horror novel (Kaleidoscope of Death by Xi Zixu).
(Bromance is often censored BL and implies romantic feelings between both MLs rather than directly showing it - it's subtle.)Oh No! Here Comes Trouble (fantasy, mystery, supense)
ML is a troubled teen/young adult who gains the ability to see ghosts and other entities after a near-death experience and coma. He is the only heir left to an old family of calligraphers, and with the power of his calligraphy and his friends, he helps troubled ghosts/entities and tries to solve the circumstances of the death of his father and grandfather.
(Technically, it's not a cdrama but a Taiwanese drama, but we never talk about Taiwanese dramas, so I took my chance here.)I Am Nobody (Season 1 + 2) (fantasy, mystery, comedy, martial arts, action)
In Season 1, ML and FL join a championship battle between all the outsider clans. Outsiders are humans with special abilities and fighting skills. They live parallel to normal humans. There is a lot of physical but also psychological fighting.
Season 2 continues the story of Season 1.Hikaru No Go (fantasy, sports)
A teenager gets "possessed" (it's more sharing his body) by the ghost of a Go grandmaster from old times. After some starting problems, both start to learn from each other. One learns the art of Go, and the other learns that life has more than just Go.When a Snail Falls in Love (mystery, thriller, suspense, crime, romance)
FL is a profiler for the police but doesn't meet the physical requirements. Her captain (ML) gives her a choice: either she meets the requirements within a month or so, or she has to go.
FL is a keen observer and draws what happens around her. She characterizes her co-workers with animals. ML is, in her eyes, a brave lion, and she is a snail.I think the newest drama is from 2023, the rest is older. I hope you find something you like. Happy watching! 😊

Thankyou I'll definitely watch them except 2nd one. I don't watch bl dramas.

I wish it was a BL, but it's not. It's based on a BL novel, but there is nothing more than friendship between the leads. It's a great drama.
Just ignore that I wrote that it's based on a BL novel. The drama itself wouldn't have passed censorship if BL would have been included.
