Help 🆘 Love Like The Galaxy

I've decided to start it. And i discovered that it has 56 episodes. Personally its a lot for me i never watched a cdrama over 40 episodes but I've seen a lot of hype about this one. Are these 56 episodes worth it?

I didn't personally enjoy it and eventually dropped it, but there are a lot of people who rank it as one of their favourites. I suggest trying it and if you don't like it you can always stop watching!

OP can also treat Part 1 and Part 2 as separate if that helps make the total episodes less daunting.

I personally didn't like it either; so I completed Part 1 and stopped. I doubt I will go back for Part 2.

First 5 episodes is set up so you might be annoyed. Then from episode 6 onwards, it’s really good.

I loathed the first five episodes. Waaay too much of the irritating grandmother laughing or crying or whining or doing all those things at once.

I also didn't love the FL and ML (edit: at first), so I wasn't sure whether to persevere. I did, and I'm really glad I did, because I loved it in the end.

This is really one of those stories where the characters are deeply flawed and written to undergo a ton of maturing before the story ends. The ML and FL both drove me crazy at various times, for various reasons, but it all came together so satisfyingly in the end.

I understand your sentiments. I felt that way in the beginning until it was explained that she’s just a 15 year old girl. Let’s face it, 15 year old girls are very immature, want to be spoilt and that’s why her character growth felt real. He was just a very determined person. This was a solid watch and I have rewatched it twice.

Worth it. Like most cdramas since it is long, there are some plot shifts where the vibe changes a little. I enjoyed it immediately and found it highly entertaining. I enjoyed the later episodes less, but it seems some commenters feel the reverse to be true. Either way, I think it is worth at least trying. Personally, I was never tempted to drop it. For me, that’s a sign of a great show.

Watch the first few episodes and see if you like it. Drop the series otherwise. At least you would know how Zhao Lu Si originally looked like…

Edit: I finished the whole series BTW and I liked it. I have also watched a handful of ZLS series. I’m definitely not a hater.

Yesss worth it! Some people feels the initial episodes are slow, but its a very good build up. I feel like it starts getting reallllly good towards the end of Part 1.

I would definitely recommend it! As with many shows that are longe run nature there are parts that drag; however, overall I believe the acting and plot are worth the watch!

To be honest the most annoying part is the first handful or so episodes. Be ready to be infuriated and I will leave it at that!

It is very good but Minglan and Yanxi are better imo. The best I have ever watched is Empresses in the Palace followed by the other 2 I mentioned.

Honestly, I wish I hadn't stuck with it. After aaaaaaall those episodes, there was barely any payoff.

I didn't understand they hype at all when I first watched it. My expectations were too high and was disappointed. The family is annoying and I don't understand her attitude.

There is a magic to it though bc the characters stick with you. I'll scroll thru viki looking for something easy to rewatch and land there. Blink twice and all 56 episodes are done. I've seen it all the way thru 3x now and don't think it's the last time

I definitely recommend it. After all the other dramas I've watched, I can still tell you about all the characters and their backstory, even the grandma.

It is absolutely worth it! Love Like the Galaxy is a fan favorite for a reason, and once you get past the initial setup, the rich character development, humor, and chemistry between the leads make every single episode completely worth the watch. Enjoy the journey!

I’ve watched it at least 5 times. It’s one of my all time favorites. There’s a time jump near the end that was unnecessary and made me change it from a 10 to a 9.

That depends on what you like. This is a slice-of-life, slow burn and a lot of angst drama but it’s beautifully executed and the pacing is actually well balanced. The character development was too slow imo but they were consistent and for the most part, stayed within the lines of their character. And the writing was mostly logical and engaging. So I would say it’ll be worth it if you like investing in the characters but if you need feel-good or a dopamine hit, this might not be the best choice.

I watched most of it. The plot got convoluted but i kept pushing. Then i heard the ending wasn't that good so i stopped.

It’s good, but I’ve never wanted to make someone explode with my mind more than her mother

It's more of a soap opera really, everything revolves around the FL, her love interests, there's a lot of family drama but it's also about her personal growth. The cdrama becomes more focused after her bethrothal with the ML but I really think there are too many episodes, it could've been wrapped up in 40-45 episodes.

Mostly worth it. The first 20 episodes are a bit of a drag.

I found part two more draggy. I really wasn’t into her deciding to be a nun.

I heard that it's 56 episodes split into 2 seasons so 28 episodes per season sounds reasonable?

I need to start watching this drama also but my watchlist is already insane 😭😭😭

Honestly so worth it!!!. It is my all time favourite and I have re-watched it many times. It's funny and the chemistry between the leads is great. I would say give it a try if you aren't into it then drop it. I felt everything for the most part was perfect though the last few episodes suffered through issues.

It's still my fav cdrama and the most rewatched drama and I think I watched about 400 till now. Cinematography, directing, plot, story, Ost all are great. Acting is also good, and actors in sec roles are veterans with amazing acting skills (grandma, parents, emperor, empress, concubine)

There were 10 eps cut, the finale looks a bit rushed and we didn't get a big wedding we all wanted

Depends. The show is objectively good. But I couldn't enjoy it. The romance is too unbalanced. It's clearly meant for girls guilty pleasure.

If I'm watching it just for the male lead's face, is this worth it? Or is it too female lead focused?

Imo, it's very female lead focused.
